ONE YEAR!

It's official...baby Vivien is ONE YEAR OLD, which basically means she isn't Baby Viv anymore, more like Toddler Viv! What a year it has been! Vivien is smart, active, and gorgeous. We have had a ridiculously exciting month, so much has happened, let's recap!

Viv has 8 teeth now, 4 on top, 4 on bottom. They are crooked and crazy!

She is great at pulling herself up, she is getting so strong!

Vivien is SUCH a happy girl! We are SO lucky to have such a bright and cheerful little girl!

She LOOOVES food! If we let her, she would live on cheese alone.

Church is a nightmare at this stage, she just wants to GO GO GO! She freaks out if We make her just sit there, plus she naps at 2:30, and we have 1o'clock church, we usually don't last through all 3 hours.

Viv's favorite place is OUTSIDE, she loves being out and about. 

Vivien will reach up high when you say "Sooo big!" PRECIOUS!

She cruises around furniture, toys, and walls like a chamption!

On May 10th, she crawled for the first time! She started off by doing it the hardest possible way. She would stick her butt in the air and just be on all 4s, so funny! But now, she is a champion at crawling, she is speedy and finally has it down!

Viv wasn't ever too cuddly until recently, she is good at giving hugs and kisses. LOVE IT! 

Viv says a few words now! Her first real word (that she knew what she was saying) was CHEESE, how fitting. If I get cheese out of the fridge she whispers "cheese cheese cheese" HA so cute! Here is her vocab so far: CHEESE, SHOES, KEYS, HI, MOM, DAD, DOG. Such a smartie pants!

She loooooves to swing, it's probably one of her very favorite things to do!

Viv absolutely adores kids. She gets SO happy around them. She can't wait to be able to play along with them!

If she even sees my iPad, she will freak out until I give it to her. Little stanker!

When she wants to hold my phone (or any phone), she holds her hand up to her ear like she's talking to someone, how smart is she?!

Vivien has this big ol' head and a skinny little body.

Viv loves to read books. Her favorites are: Brown Bear Brown Bear, The Hungry Caterpillar, Little Blue Truck, Baby Colors, Can You Make Santa Giggle, Disney ABCs, and Baby Animals. When we get to the butterfly pic in the Caterpillar book, she opens and closes the book like the butterfly's wings are flapping, she is so smart!

Sometimes Viv gets so excited that she will bite your shoulder, it's so weird and scary haha!

On May 20th, she walked clear across the room for the 1st time!! She has been getting braver by the day. Now she will let go on her own and walk to her destination. She is SO GOOD! She will probably be full out walking within the next couple of weeks.

Awww she is such a good sleeper, life is good!

Vivien LOVES playing in the water!

We had a birthday party for her, she LOVED it! She was getting so much attention, which she loves! It was such a fun party, I'll probably make the party a post of its own.

One of Vivien's favorite things is to take all of the clothes out of her hamper! Everyday.

Dear Viv,

Has it seriously been a year?! WOW time is flying past us! I can't believe how much you've grown and learned in just 1 short year. You are so amazing. You have the sweetest smile and personality, everyone who meets you just falls in love with you. You are such a beautiful girl inside and out. I love that you are so interactive now, it's so much fun to play and read with you. I hope I'm doing an ok job as a mom, you really deserve the best, and I'm sure trying. I love you, Vivien. You are my very favorite girl. Thank you for the fabulous year, I can't imagine life without you. XOXO

11 months!

Happy 11 months to my beautiful princess bug!

We had a fabulous month! Time is flying and our little lady is growing up right before our eyes! We love our happy little girl!

"Yeah yeah yeah" is one of her favorite things to say.

Vivien full out runs when you hold her hands. She is SO fast!

She is getting a bit braver, sometimes she will walk while holding just one of my hands.

Viv loves the tub. Everything about it! It's the first thing she walks to every time we explore.

She totally pulls herself up from the ground onto furniture and toys. She's finally getting a little bit of strength in those skinny little arms.

When she falls, Viv falls to her bum instead of flat on her back like she used to.

Vivien is such a chatterbox! She is talking constantly now!

She loves to play with her ears, she always has little scratches in and around her ears because she is always playing with them.

Viv got some bubbles for Easters, she totally loves them!

 

Every time we get in the car, Vivien pulls her socks off and sucks on them until they are wet.

She has a bunch of stuffed animals, she always snuggles them up to her face, it's so sweet!

Viv is getting a little better with her stranger anxiety. She can go to people for a minute without freaking out. Sometimes if someone holds their arms out to take her, she will bury her face into my shoulder/neck, so sweet.

Every animal she sees is either a "dah dah dah" (like dog) or "duh duh duh" (like duck). SO SMART!

Viv started cruising around furniture this month. She began really slow and cautious but now she is FAST, she just goes goes goes!

She has gotten great at giving kisses. When I say "give momma kisses", she will either open her mouth and lean forward or just lean in with closed lips and touch my face. It is SO sweet!

Vivien waves to everyone and all cars, she is so friendly.

She is absolutely fascinated by airplanes and birds. When we hear a plane, I say "VIVIEN!", she lays down in my arms, searches the sky, and watches the plane until it's out of sight.

Viv loves to play soccer, she loves kicking balls around.

She is obsessed with remotes, iPhones, and iPads...kids these days haha!

She has become a MUCH better sleeper! She sleeps from 7:45-7ish every night now...hallelujah!

Viv totally knows that if she throws something on the floor, we will pick it up. So she chucks everything off of her highchair, little goose.

She is still a pretty good eater but isn't loving baby food too much anymore. It's so cute/funny, if she doesn't want the food you're offering, she squints her eyes and shakes her head.

Vivien is my little garage opener. She gets a kick out of it every single time. She pushes the button, immediately jerks around to look at what she did, babbles and waves at the garage door, then throws her arms around my neck and holds tight.

Viv loves the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, when it's playing, she hums along to the music.

She loves to play outside in the dirt and in the grass. She would stay outside all day if I let her.

One of her favorite things is (still) jumping on the tramp, she LOVES it!

Viv has learned how to blow kisses. I always feel so bad though because she smacks herself really hard in the mouth when she does it.

She kisses herself when she looks in mirrors, I don't blame her, she's just so cute!

Funniest thing ever! At 7pm each night, we get her undressed on her changing pad, then we walk to the bathroom...I let her stand next to the tub while I turn on the water. Every SINGLE night (without fail), she looks down at the ground and pees on the floor next to the tub. She probably just doesn't want to pee in her nice warm tub. HAHA!

She is starting to throw little tantrums here and there. Like if I take a toy away from her or don't pick her up when she wants, she has a mini freak out.

Viv has the roundest little cheeks but the tiniest little body, what a cutie!

Vivien is so smart, if you start singing "If you're happy and you know it..." she claps right on cue.

She's getting really good at bending over and picking things up!

We hear the phrase, "She has such bright eyes!" at least once every day from strangers.

Dear Viv,

Where has the time gone, my sweet girl? I can't believe how big you have gotten, you are so smart, and absolutely beautiful. You are so fun to be around, I love your happy personality! You are such a busy girl, always going, talking, playing, running, and exploring. I love you more than I can put in words. I still can't believe you're mine! You'll be a year old in just a month, how is that even possible?! Everyone says it, but I never understood until I had you, that "they grow up so fast", it's absolutely true. I'm loving every new stage with you, I love seeing you grow and learn. I'm excited to see what the future holds for us. I love you so much, Vivien, you are my sweet peach.
