8 months!

Happy 8 months to my beautiful girl!
Wow! 8 months! It doesn't seem possible that it's been that long. It seems like it's only been a few weeks, but at the same time it feels like we've had our Viv forever! We love her so much, she is SO fun and active.
Vivien loves to talk and say, "Dadadada" and "Didididi" and "Mamama"
She is constantly babbling all day long.
This month she has been snuggling a little bit more than she use to...but not by much!
Viv loves to shake her head no no no all the time! When she doesn't want her bottle or food, she will shake her head, SO smart!
Vivien got sick for the first time on Christmas Day. She had a little bit of a runny nose but it wasn't anything too bad, she was still her happy and active self.
She was kind of grumpy at the beginning of the month, but that didn't last too long.
On the night of January 8th, she had her longest sleep to date! 8pm-5:30am, I was so happy and didn't think it could get much better than that...until the next day, when she slept from 730pm-7am!!! HOLY COW, I seriously didn't remember what it was like to get a solid night's sleep! Unfortunately, we haven't had a night like that since then...Oh well, we will take what we can get!
Vivien waves to EVERYONE now, especially at the grocery store. She is SO social!
She loves to clap and will clap for herself often. So sweet!
Vivien sits in shopping carts now, she loves it! We always spend about 5 minutes sanitizing the cart before she gets in, people always chuckle when the walk by. Oh well!
Viv LOVES when daddy is home. I can literally see that her mood brightens when he is around.
She pats her mouth and makes sounds ALL the time (like an Indian). And if you do it first, she will mimic you, it's SO dang cute!
Vivien loves being out and about. She loves to go to new stores and new places.
She is learning how to climb. She can almost pull herself up from the ground to standing position (if she has something to hold, of course.)
Viv can sit on her knees and balance, it's really fun to watch!
She absolutely LOVES to hold your hands and walk all over the place. She is surprisingly really good at it, she almost runs now!
Viv still loves to be outside, even though it's about 2 degrees. We make sure she is real bundled and then brave the cold sometimes, and she loves every second of it.
This girl LOVES to have a free bum and to be naked. She just rolls and babbles and giggles for ever if you lay her down naked.
Viven finally will voluntarily roll onto her belly now, it doesn't last long though, usually about 8 seconds at the most, but at least she's doing it!
She's still not crawling, but she will balance on her hands and knees for a few seconds. She doesn't like it very much, I think it kind of scares her.
Viv loves books, especially The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Our poor girl got sick again about a week ago, it was worse this time, she had a cough and a really bad runny/stuffy nose. I even took her to the doctor 2 times. She was okay though, luckily it wasn't in her chest. She is back to being healthy again!
Every morning and after nap time, when I go into her room to get her, she always has scooted in her crib so her head and feet are touching the front and back of the crib, silly girl!
Vivien still has to be swaddled to fall asleep, but she breaks out EVERY single time. Hopefully we won't have to be doing this until she is like 7 years old!
Viv uses her individual fingers really well now!
Lately, she has been very attached to her binkis, she never really loved them very much until a week or 2 ago!
Viv loves to tip her toy basket over onto her lap.

Vivien has MAJOR stranger anxiety. Like bad! She freaks out if anyone but me, Chris, or my parents try to hold her.

Dear Viv
Another month has come and gone, I love you more each day! This month we had a lot of time to hang out together since I took a week off work, it was so fun to get extra time to be with my sweet girl! I also got to snuggle with you so much since you weren't feeling so good for a few days, as much as I hated that you were sick, I absolutely loved being able to snuggle up with you all day long. You are the most important little girl in the whole world to me and your dad. I hope you know that we will always be here for you in your life, loving you every step of the way, no matter what. You are growing so fast, you learn so much each week, you really amaze me. I love you so much more than you'll ever know. Thank you for being the greatest daughter a mother could ever ask for. XOXO!
Love, Mom
